  • Day 1, Mon Sept 17 | Depart for Nashville:
    Arrive in Nashville and be met by your coach driver who will accompany the group for the full duration of the tour. We check in at the Guesthouse Inn Music Valley. Overnight: Nashville

  • Day 2, Tues Sept 18 | Nashville:
    This morning travel down to Franklin, a beautiful American Civil War town with Scots-Irish roots. Leading Nashville country singers live here. The afternoon is free for shopping or just enjoying Nashville. This evening attend at the Grand Ole Opry. Overnight: Nashville

  • Day 3, Weds Sept 19 | Nashville:
    Today enjoy a city tour of Nashville taking in the Country Music Hall of Fame, Studio B, the Ryman Auditorium, Broadway and all that makes Nashville famous. This afternoon visit The Harmitage, ancestral home of President Andrew Jackson. Evening is free. Overnight: Nashville

  • Day 4, Thurs Sept 20 | Pigeon Forge:
    Leave Nashville and drive to Pigeon Forge. This afternoon is an optional visit to Dollywood, the theme park owned by Dolly Parton. Check-in at the Clarion Inn. Overnight: Pigeon Forge

  • Day 5, Fri Sept 21 | Pigeon Forge:
    Today the group will visit landmarks in Knoxville (Ramsey house, the Museum of Appalachia, East Tennessee Historical Society), with some free time to relax. Overnight: Pigeon Forge

  • Day 6, Sat Sept 22 | Pigeon Forge:
    Travel Tennessee’s ‘Ulster Way’ – Pigeon Forge to Morristown (Davy Crockett’s tavern is here) to the Cumberland Gap (where Daniel Boone and the Scots- Irish settlers passed through on the way to Kentucky); Jonesborough (oldest town in Tennessee founded by early Scots-Irish settlers); Limestone, birthplace of David Crockett - his wooden home is there, and Greeneville, ancestral home of President Andrew Jackson whose grandfather came from Larne). Overnight: Pigeon Forge

  • Day 7, Sun Sept 23 | Kingsport:
    Today the group will travel across the state line and into Virginia. Travel part of the Historic Crooked Road, the home place of American Music, to Galax and tour the Blue Ridge Music Center Museum, which also provides live music. Next stop is Bristol and tour the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. Then proceed to Kingsport and check-in at the Hampton Inn. Overnight: Kingsport

  • Day 8, Mon Sept 24 | Kingsport:
    This morning we travel to Clintwood to the Ralph Stanley Museum. At the age of 75 Ralph Stanley won a Grammy Award in the category of best male Country Vocal Performance for his song ‘O Death’ in the 2000 film O Brother Where Art Thou.’ Overnight: Kingsport

  • Day 9, Tues Sept 25 | Charlotte:
    Today travel south to Charlotte taking in points of interest along the way. Check-in at the Drury Inn & Suites. Overnight: Charlotte

  • Day 10, Weds Sept 26 | Depart for Ireland:
    We have the morning free to do last minute shopping or packing and then it’s off to the airport for our non-stop flight back to Dublin.
