·      Pilgrims with a medical condition who wish to travel as a registered sick pilgrim should obtain an application form before the closing date of 1^st April 2011 from:

·      Acceptance as registered pilgrim is subject to approval of Pilgrimage Medical Committee. Accueil sick are accommodated at the Accueil Notre Dame, hostel for sick pilgrims in Lourdes

·      Assistance on the journey and in Lourdes can usually be offered only to registered sick pilgrims staying at the Accueil Notre Dame, and to a limited number of registered sick pilgrims staying in hotels.

·      Wheelchairs must be pre-booked

·      Wheelchair-bound pilgrims staying in hotels must advise Joe Walsh Tours in writing

·      Passport: Every person travelling to France must have a valid up-to-date passport. If you already have a passport, please check now that it will be valid for travel three months beyond 22nd July 2011.

Notes

·      Travel insurance is charged at £26 for persons up to 85 years old. Please note that an additional insurance premium of £26 is charged for persons aged 86-94 years, and that persons 95 years and over should contact this office to have their insurance policy confirmed. Should you wish to contract our travel insurance, please contact our office and a copy of the insurance policy will be forwarded to you with confirmation of your booking and we would ask you to read this carefully to be aware of your exact cover

·      Prices based on sharing twin/treble rooms with private facilities

·      Single rooms are very limited and subject to availability at a £175 supplement for hotels Stella Matutina and Agena and a £210 supplement for hotels Paradis and La Solitude. Your kind co-operation in agreeing to share a twin or treble room, if at all possible, will be much appreciated

·      Any dietary requirements regarding in-flight meal must be advised to Joe Walsh Tours not later than 1st July 2011 in order to be accommodated

·      Balance of fare is due eight weeks before departure date. Joe Walsh Tours and the Pilgrimage Committee shall be entitled at their discretion to treat as cancelled any booking in respect of which the balance of fare shall not have been remitted eight weeks before the date of departure

·      Flight Only can be booked at a cost of £409

·      A non-refundable deposit of £150 per person is required for booking and all cancellations will incur an excess charge of £150

·      Credit cards are subject to a 2% service charge

·      Medical & other miscellaneous charges in total are the direct responsibility of the pilgrim or invalid or their legal guardian/next of kin. All travellers must have a European Health Insurance card formlerly E111 (this card can be applied for or renewed online at www.ehic.org.uk). Please read your insurance cover carefully – it is vitally important to complete a Medical Declaration Form if you have a medical condition which has required medical advice, treatment, medication or hospitalisation during the last 18 months

·      Wheelchairs are not included in your travel insurance cover. We recommend separate insurance cover

·      Please note that some airlines restrict the carriage of electric wheelchairs

·      Full information, air tickets, luggage labels, etc. will be sent to you within 7-10 days prior to the

departure date of the Pilgrimage. Final flight timings will be confirmed at this point

·      Please note that Flight Only option, when booked by helpers of the Archdiocese of Glasgow, include return transfers to and from Lourdes airport to the Accueil Notre Dame or Ave Maria only.
